From the AP:
A U.S. embassy official said Pelosi, the first woman speaker of the House, had arrived in Iraq at the head of a six-member congressional delegation for meetings with Iraqi and U.S. officials but did not plan any public appearances.
I don’t know if this is going to be good or bad, but I do know it is premature, since the troop surge has not happened yet. I think it would have been better to wait a month or two to take this trip if they really want to see an improved situation. This leads me to believe they are just going to use the trip to bash the President and his plan. Which, by the way, is more than just increasing the number of troops.
