A.G. ‘Relatively Close’ to Making Decision on Gitmo Detainees

Now I’m going to have you read this article first. Then an article about my home state of Montana. It seems that some states; mostly poor states, like mine are thinking that having the most dangerous terrorists in the world housed in their state a “cash cow.”

From Fox News:

LONDON — The United States is “relatively close” to making decisions on what to do with an initial group of Guantanamo Bay detainees, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Sunday.

Holder spoke to The Associated Press during a flight to London, the first of several stops where he will visit with European leaders to discuss terrorism, drugs, and cyber-crime.

The attorney general did not say how much longer he thought it would take to close the Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba. Before officials can meet President Obama’s January deadline, the U.S. must first decide which detainees to put on trial and which to release to the U.S. or other countries.

My State already bids for mentally disturbed people from around the country. I know, I worked for the State for 5 years as an evening Nurse Supervisor for a one of these facilities. So now we wanted terrorists. But thankfully it didn’t happen. We have enough prisons and mental institutions. Why don’t we stick with money within our state using our resources, like cattle, wheat and such. We export all our food now. I know because I am forced to buy beef from outside our country. Yea I know there are co-op programs here, not enough. I’d like to buy from my local farm/ranch.

From USA TODAY:

The city council in Hardin, Mont., thought it had a great idea for filling it’s underutilized jail — bid for the contract to take the detainees from Gitmo, according to the Billings Gazette,

But two days after it voted to pursue the contract, the council has run into a few obstacles — namely, the entire Montana Congressional delegation.

Good for our elected cockroaches of the fine State of Montana.

Health Officials Say Outbreak at New York City School Likely Swine Flu

I didn’t want to report on this yet because it’s still evolving and I for one hate when the Lame Stream Media jumps on a story before it has all it’s facts and ducks in a row. But the Uncooperative husband/radio show host wants this brought out.

From The AP:

NEW YORK — At least eight students at a New York City high school probably have human swine influenza, but health officials said Saturday they don’t know for sure whether they have the same virus that has killed scores of people in Mexico. At least two cases of the flu have been confirmed in Kansas.

A strain of the flu has killed as many as 68 people and sickened more than 1,000 across Mexico. The World Health Organization chief said Saturday the strain has “pandemic potential” and it may be too late to contain a sudden outbreak.

New York health officials said more than 100 students at the private St. Francis Preparatory School, in Queens, had come down with a fever, sore throat and other aches and pains in the past few days. Some of their relatives have also been ill.

New York City Health Commissioner Thomas Frieden said nose and throat swabs had confirmed that eight students had influenza type A, indicating probable cases of swine flu, but the exact subtypes were still unknown.

Samples had been sent to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta for more testing. Results were expected on Sunday.

Now, how in God’s beautiful green earth could this ever come into The United States Of America. Hummmmm, wait for it, wait for it, Could It Be Those Wonderful Illegal Aliens that are cleaning the schools, in Queens, watching the children of Queens, or maintaining the lawns of our region. The CDC is now scrambling to investigate. Oh no, say it’s not so, I’m a racist. No I’m pragmatic; yea folks look that one up, he,he,he.

Savage sues Napolitano for targeting vets

From WND:

Radio talk show host Michael Savage has teamed up with the Thomas More Law Center of Ann Arbor, Mich., to file a lawsuit against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

“It is a civil rights action brought under the First and Fifth Amendments to the United States Constitution, challenging the policy, practice, and custom of the United States Government that targets for disfavored treatment those individuals and groups that are considered to be ‘rightwing extremists,'” the complaint announced today said.

Become part of WND’s re-declaration of our founders’ intent to be an independent nation

The federal agency recently targeted those individuals in its report called “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.”

Good for him. It must be nice to have money to hire lawyers. I’d love to have one on retainer, just because. he he. But seriously Folks, read the rest of the story because the government is talking about you. Not terrorist, not criminals, you. The God fearing, constitutional loving, gun toten, family oriented, average person. And if you think I’m overreacting read this:

According to the federal government, members of the suspect group of people include those who:

* Oppose restrictions on firearms

* Oppose lax immigration

* Oppose the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship and the expansion of social programs

* Oppose continuation of free trade agreements

* Oppose same-sex marriage

* Have paranoia of foreign regimes

* Fear Communist regimes

* Oppose one world government

* Bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world

* Are upset with the loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India

Is this you????? Oh and google the report in the article and read it for yourself, the title is above.:)

FBI Adds Berkeley ‘Animal Rights Extremist’ to ‘Most Wanted’ Terrorist List

Just tying in the nut job food police in the articles below with the nut job animal rights terrorists. heh, heh, heh,. A nut job is a nut job is a well:::::NUT JOB!

From Fox News:

An “animal rights extremist” from Berkeley, Calif., was added to the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list of terror suspects, federal agents said Tuesday.

Daniel Andreas San Diego, a 31-year-old computer specialist, has been on the run since 2003 and is wanted in two bombings that year of corporate offices in California, said Michael J. Heimbach, an assistant director of the FBI’s counterrorism division.

“He is a known animal rights extremist,” Heimbach told reporters Tuesday at a Washington, D.C., news conference.

He added that San Diego set an improvised explosive device in the bombings that caused “extensive property damage and economic hardship.”

“The investigation revealed that metal nails were used in the construction of the device to create a more forceful effect,” Heimbach said.

I guess we should just “blow im up”. he he he……

Center for Consumer Freedom Roundup

This is some tidbits from the Center for Consumer Freedom. If you click on the links in the article you will read, “the rest of the story”.

Center for Consumer Freedom
Activists to POTUS: We Want a Weekly Anti-Meat Day.

A veritable dream team of food activists pooled their best efforts today in one whopper of a press release. Possibly encouraged by the fact that President Obama caved to activists begging for a White House garden, vegetable enthusiasts are now asking the Commander-in-Chief to endorse national “Meatless Mondays.” But that’s not all. The anti-meat wish list also includes White House-issued recipes and a State Dinner menu overhaul. And to make their case, vegetarian zealots reached deep into their treasure trove of juked stats and bogus claims.

I thought it was up to we the people to decide what and when we want to shove something in our mouths, not the government. They will never stop trying to control us, never. Then there’s this:

BMI Surveillance: The Food Police Will Be Watching You:

Two doctors from the nonprofit Altarum Institute have taken a page from the Department of Homeland Security playbook, and began advocating a “Body Mass Index surveillance system” this week. What kind of surveillance? An electronic registry of children’s personal health information, gathered in order to monitor their weight. Here’s our question: Will the FBI start tapping phone conversations any time the words “cookies” and “ice cream” are spoken?

Let’s hope not. Because although Body Mass Index (BMI) is a popular measurement for weight-conscious consumers, it’s simplistic to the point of being practically useless. BMI is a simple calculation of height and weight used by government bureaucrats to classify people as “normal,” “overweight,” or “obese.” And considering that the measurement is so flawed that it considers Brad Pitt overweight, it’s no surprise that many scientists have suggested abandoning the use of BMI altogether. Even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention casts doubt on the effectiveness of BMI as a health-promotion tool.

Of course they can’t get away with these “fear tactics” on all us common sense, beer swilling, gun toten, God fearing individuals. But they can play on our children and parents who want to make sure they provide all the good things in life for them. Open your eyes people and see this for what it is; a method of controlling the populace. And least but not last by a long shot, there’s this.

The Wrong Way To Slim Down NYC – Take Four

New York City public health officials are just full of ideas on how to trim down their constituents: taxing soft drinks, yanking the salt out of recipes, and even banning cooking oils. Now a city councilman from Queens has thrown one more anti-fat scheme in the mix. Citing a new study from the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) about an alleged link between obesity and the proximity of restaurants to schools, Eric N. Gioia has proposed – you guessed it – another ban. Should his idea catch on, new restaurants will be prohibited from opening within one-tenth of a mile of Queens schools. But like soda taxes, trans fat bans, and anti-salt crusades, Gioia’s “fast food” prohibition isn’t the answer to slimming down the city’s schoolchildren.
