International Gymnastics Officials Say China Used Underage Girls in 2000 Olympics

China is an ancient culture. It is patient. And it is corrupt. Not all of the people of China, but most of them, and most certainly the government. It does not play by the rules of the rest of the world, and since it is one of the oldest civilizations on this planet, it “knows” it does not have to.

From Fox News;

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — China should be stripped of its bronze medal from the 2000 Olympics because one member of the squad has been found to be underage, international gymnastics officials said Friday.

Dong Fangxiao was 14 during the Sydney Games, according to FIG, the international gymnastics federation. Gymnasts must be 16 during the Olympic year to compete.

Another gymnast on the 2000 squad, Yang Yun, also was suspected of being underage after she mentioned on a television interview that she was 14 in Sydney. But all of her official documentation indicated she was 16 in Sydney.

The FIG has “canceled” all of Dong’s results from Sydney, and forwarded the results of its investigation to the International Olympic Committee. Because the case involves the Olympics, it is up to the IOC to decide if China should lose any medals.

Just like the UN, it takes years to get anything accomplished. It is 2010, people, this investigation just started this year!!! We are talking ten years before anything has just “started to Happen”. Is this the type of government agency you all want “running the world”? I need to keep more food up here on the mountain. God Help Us.

Medical Self Reliance Part Three

By Susan Frances Bonner

Author of: Opening A Registered Nurse’s Eyes; A Life-Altering Journey Across North America

In the two previous articles I talked about using knowledge as your best weapon in the fight to be as medically self-reliant as you can, and dealing with medical self-reliance when you are chronically ill. Now, let’s talk about some of the medication you must have in your arsenal that will help you stay healthy.

Every household should have a well stocked Emergency Kit. This could be one that you buy in a store or one you make yourself. But if you are not medically savvy, I would go with the pre-made kit. It will help get you
started on what is in one; which will allow you to customize one to your unique needs. Make sure that over and above the Emergency kit you have plenty of Aspirin on hand, an alternative anti-inflammatory, Benadryl, Sudafed, an anti-diarrhea medication, as well as a laxative. Cough suppressants and cough expectorants should also be in your arsenal. All of the above medications are readily available and are classified as “over the counter medications”, but most of you already knew that if you don’t live under a rock.

The above medications will help keep you and your family out of the doctor’s office for minor illnesses and trauma, such as a cold, diarrhea, constipation, cuts, scraps and minor allergic reactions. And, again, as a disclaimer, if any of these minor illnesses last for long periods of time or increase in their intensity, seek professional medical help immediately.

As a personal note; when I was growing up in the seventies, (yes, I’m dating myself), my siblings and I, very rarely went to the Doctor’s office. My family did not have the money, my mom was a stay at home mom and my dad’s insurance was limited. So my parents had to make decisions about our health everyday. And with four very active children to keep up with, the task was daunting.

When I asked my mother, God rest her soul, how she decided when to take us to the Doctor, she explained that when she was growing up most illnesses and injuries were treated by her relatives, using folk medicine that had been passed down from generation to generation. And if an injury was too life threatening; people just died. That was the reality of the time. Doctors were few and far apart and most hospitals were located inside a city, so folks relied on each other. She also told me that the population did not have the amount of chronic diseases that we have now.

People were more active, “back in the day”. They did not eat processed foods as much as we do, and there were no hormones or preservatives in their food. They also had no other choice besides; caring for themselves and their family, something; we as a society, need to get back to. We need to become more self-reliant in every aspect of our lives. Back to basics folks, whether you live in the inner cities or the backwoods of our great nation. Personal responsibility in all things will always make for a better life.

Obama Seeks New Social Media Mouthpiece

From Fox News:

Help wanted. Must tweet.

If you’re “passionate about engaging millions” in advancing President Obama’s agenda, the commander in chief has a job for you.

The Democratic National Committee and Organizing for America — the successor organization to Obama for America — are seeking a “social networks manager” to oversee Obama’s accounts on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. The ideal new hire, according to the official job description, will possess “strong, sharp and personable” writing skills, as well as the ability to craft messages that “move people to act” and managing multiple “complex” projects.

Be prepared to lose some sleep: “Ready to work hard; this isn’t a 9-5 sort of job,” reads another job qualification.

Candidates must also be willing to relocate to Washington, and preference will be given to those with experience in electoral campaigns and advocacy or nonprofit organizations.

One has to ask if My President is about to launch, “The Obama Network, all Obama, all the time.” My president’s slogan for his network would be, we’ll tell you and you bend over and accept it!!!!

Mia Cambronero, who currently holds the position, will step down by the end of the month from her “infamous job as ‘Barack Obama’s twitterer,'” according to an e-mail posted to a listserv. “We’re looking for someone to start immediately,” the posting read.

Seriously folks, My President is recruiting his own little “Brown Shirt Army”. And if you don’t know what that term means, look it up. Sorry, The Community Organizer In Charge is a Commie. And the fact that his administration is erasing statements that would appear to be to radical from every state web site, proves it. Oh and look that story up as well.

America’s oldest death row inmate dies at the age of 94

My Husband; The Uncooperative Radio Show Host says he won his appeals. This is just disgusting. I can’t even look at the picture of this man’s face in the article. You have to read the entire article to get a sense of what this man did to our society. There is such a thing as evil, people. Evil exists.

Phalen said his research shows that Nash grew up in southern Utah and was sent to the federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas, in 1930 for an armed robbery.

He spent 25 years in prison for shooting a Connecticut police officer in 1947.

In 1977, Nash was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for a robbery and murder in Salt Lake City but escaped from a prison work crew in October 1982.

Three weeks later, on Nov 3 1982, Nash went into a coin shop in Phoenix and demanded money from an employee, Greggory West.

Nash shot West three times, killing him.

He was convicted of first-degree murder, armed robbery aggravated assault and theft and sentenced to death in 1983.

This article brings up a deeper issue for me. This shows in a “snapshot” how our judicial system is flawed. The Obama administration wants to try terrorists in this system. Wonderful.

Meghan McCain Blasts Tea Party Movement, Palin on ‘The View’

Do you think she is too old to be put over her Daddy’s knees and get a good spanking?

From Fox News:

McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain known for occasionally parting ways with the views of her Republican dad, was particularly scathing in her assessment of Tancredo’s speech on the opening day of the National Tea Party Convention on Thursday in Nashville. In the speech, Tancredo said people “who could not spell the word vote or say it in English” elected a “committed socialist ideologue” because the country does not require a “civics literacy test.”

“It’s innate racism, and I think it’s why young people are turned off by this movement,” McCain said. “And I’m sorry — revolutions start with young people, not with 65-year-old people talking about literacy tests and people who can’t say the word vote in English.”

You are truly a “ditz”, Lady, do you know how old our Founding Fathers were when they decided on the first revolution? Do you know how much money we are spending for people who do not speak English in this country? The cost of literature alone is staggering. Every piece of paperwork that has to be filled out for anything is usually in multiple languages and if they are not then an interpreter has to be available. I work for an insurance agency, when I’m not writing and just last year they announced that we had to inform clients that an interpreter would be made available to them if they wanted it. This all costs money folks.

Australian State to Censor Internet

My husband, The Uncooperative Radio Show Host does not like the movie that I am going to reference and hates when I reference it. But, I think it’s very appropiate for this subject. I’ll tell you the name after you’all read this little tid-bit.

From FoxNews:

An Australian state has become one of the few places in the world to censor the Internet, the Adelaide Advertiser reported on Tuesday.

A new law, which came into force on January 6, requires Internet bloggers, and anyone making a comment on next month’s state election in South Australia, to publish their real name and postcode when commenting on the poll. The law will affect anyone posting a comment on an election story on Australian news Web sites.

It also appears to apply to election comment made on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

The law, which was pushed through last year as part of a raft of amendments to the Electoral Act, also requires media organizations to keep a person’s real name and full address on file for six months. They face fines of about $5,000 if they do not hand over this information to the Electoral Commissioner.

The Right to Know Coalition, made up of Australia’s major media outlets including News Limited, publisher of The Advertiser, has called the new laws “draconian.”

Ok, the movie I always fall back on when it comes to “free speech” is; drum roll—V For Victory!!
The call for more and more governments to take away our free speech has been accelerated as more people have knowledge at their fingertips. Look, the job of government is to control us, the job of “we the people” is to stop that process.
