White House Blasts ‘Disgusting’ Crowds Embracing Lockerbie Bomber in Libya

This is exactly what the families of his victim’s said would happen if he was released. Now every “nut job”, Muslim terrorist will feel empowered.

The White House blasted the jubilant, flag-waving Libyan crowds that greeted Pan Am bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who was convicted in the 1988 killing of 270 people but is being embraced in Libya as a returning hero.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said the elaborate homecoming in Tripoli for al-Megrahi was “outrageous and disgusting” — offensive to all the families of those killed in the 1988 Lockerbie attack.

As al-Megrahi woke up a free man Friday morning, Scots expressed their “shame” at their government’s early release of the Libyan national, who was set free on compassionate grounds and flown back to die of cancer at home rather than behind bars.

This is a prime example why “Club Gitmo” must remain open and under United States control. You can take my tax money and pay for that, President Oboma. The rest of the world cannot be trusted to harbor these monsters. Only we can. We do not torture them, and we do not set them free so that they can kill more innocent men, women, and children.

Iran Awaits Ayatollah’s Nod to Build Atomic Bomb

Now, while the Lame Stream Media and the rest of the world “speculates”, I will let my learned readers “decide”. After, I have asked the following questions: How do we know they do not already have such a weapon? Just because the media and the powers that be around the world say so? And, what great plan does the “world” have for stopping them if they do?

From the Times of London:

Iran has perfected the technology to create and detonate a nuclear warhead and is merely awaiting the word from its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to produce its first bomb, Western intelligence sources have told The Times of London.

The sources said that Iran completed a research programme to create weaponised uranium in the summer of 2003 and that it could feasibly make a bomb within a year of an order from its Supreme Leader.

A U.S. National Intelligence Estimate two years ago concluded that Iran had ended its nuclear arms research programme in 2003 because of the threat from the American invasion of Iraq. But intelligence sources have told The Times that Tehran had halted the research because it had achieved its aim — to find a way of detonating a warhead that could be launched on its long-range Shehab-3 missiles.

Bible buzz begins as Ark hunters wait to view Ten Commandments box

We’re watching the History Channel this early afternoon, Mountain time and they are doing a special about the Seven Signs of the Apocalypse and then I find this article. ooooo, spooky.

Ark hunters and Bible enthusiasts are buzzing about a report that the Ark of the Covenant, the ancient container that holds the Ten Commandments, is expected to be unveiled in Rome today.

As WND reported, the patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia says he will announce to the world the unveiling of the Ark, which he says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia, according to the Italian news agency Adnkronos.

Abuna Pauolos, in Italy for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI this week, told the news agency, “Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries.”

Can it be true? We will have to wait and see. For those who believe the end is near, this will be huge. I wonder how the Israelis will react? I mean this discovery could really change the world. Think about all the people that do not believe in God, how would they explain this away? And what would the Muslim world do about this revelation? Ah, we really do live in interesting times. Hey, isn’t that a Chinese Curse!

Egypt: Terrorists planning Sinai attack

Can anyone see the future yet?

From The Jerusalem Post:

Egyptian security forces discovered on Friday approximately one metric ton of explosives hidden underground near Egypt’s border with Gaza, a security official said.

The explosives, mostly TNT that officials believe was recovered from land mines, were stashed in 34 plastic sacks, the security officer said speaking on condition of anonymity, because he is not authorized to give statements to the media. The explosives were to be smuggled to the Gaza Strip, he said.

Bedouin trackers working for the authorities led security forces to the underground hiding place in Nagaa Shabanah, a village a few kilometers south of the Rafah crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

The discovery came on the heels of a report by Egyptian intelligence that two Palestinians armed with explosives had infiltrated Sinai and intended to carry out suicide terror attacks against tourists.

The Counterterrorism Bureau of the National Security has advised Israelis not to travel to Sinai, Army Radio reported Friday.

Friday’s terror warning followed the arrest Thursday of 23 Egyptian terror suspects, while on Wednesday, northern Sinai was on high alert after Egyptian border and security authorities arrested 3 Palestinians and Egyptians, including one who was wearing an explosives belt and had crossed from Gaza to Egypt in an underground tunnel.

For a very long time, for many generations this struggle against terrorists will continue.

U.S. not waiting for Palestinian unity

From The Washington Times:

The United States will not wait for Palestinians to agree on a unity government or to hold elections in order to push for a renewed peace effort with Israel and will step up its support for President Mahmoud Abbas, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said yesterday.

She also said that the chief mission of U.S. diplomacy in the Middle East in the next two years will be to strengthen the “alignment” of moderate forces so they can take on extremists who have enjoyed a surge in popularity in recent years.

“I would not overstate the importance of a national unity government to the possibility for progress” in the Palestinian territories, Miss Rice told several newspaper reporters at a year-end roundtable.

“We are pushing forward on helping [Mr. Abbas] with reconstruction and security forces — that’s not dependent on a national unity government being formed,” she said, referring to tens of millions of dollars the Bush administration plans to give the president’s office.

The United States is also working on facilitating a meeting between Mr. Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and a unity government is not a condition for that, either, the secretary said.

Since the militant group Hamas won January’s parliamentary election and formed a government, both the United States and Israel have said that progress on the peace process cannot be achieved because they lack a partner for peace.

But now that the negotiations between Hamas and Mr. Abbas’ Fatah faction have failed and the president’s call for early elections have met resistance from Hamas, the administration is looking for realistic options to deal with the issue, U.S. officials said.

Mr. Olmert paid a surprise visit to Jordan to discuss with King Abdullah II ways to restart peace negotiations with Mr. Abbas.

As Egypt renewed its effort to mediate a solution to the fighting, the king offered to host both Hamas and Fatah leaders in Jordan to reconcile the two political groups.

All this sounds wonderful, the nuts are killing each other, but…

Against the backdrop of violence, Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas tried to remind Palestinians that their struggle should be focused toward Israel rather than at each other.

“In spite of the internal disputes, in spite of the wounds created by these disputes, and in spite of the pain of the recent days, we will remain united against the occupation — and won’t be involved with its internal struggles,” he said.

They have not forgotten their goal of wiping Israel off the map.

Let’s face it the middle east is a serious mess and no, we are not to blame. These people have been killing each other since before the U.S. existed.

Frankly the whole palestine thing is an excuse to attack Israel with impunity. there were no palestinians until Israel was created by the U.N. If I remember correctly they were actually Syrians. I think the whole existence of Palestine was orchestrated by Syria.

I hate to say it, but they will NEVER accept the existence of Israel in the Middle East.

11 Egyptian Students Vanish After Arrival In U.S.

Oh great…

From WRAL:

Eleven Egyptian students who arrived in the United States last month are being sought by authorities after failing to turn up for an exchange program at Montana State University.

The Egyptian men were among a group of 17 students who arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York from Cairo on July 29 with valid visas, according to U.S. authorities and university officials.

The other six have arrived at the Bozeman, Mont., campus for a monthlong program on English language instruction and U.S. history and culture, university spokeswoman Cathy Conover said.

When the 11 didn’t turn up by the end of the last week, the FBI issued a lookout to state and local law enforcement, said FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko.

They are between 18 and 22 years old, said a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the search for the men is continuing.

U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement declined to make their names public.

The government probably will seek to send the students home once they are located because they have violated the terms of their visas, the official said.

The government tightened the student visa process after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks when it learned that four of the hijackers entered the country on foreign student visas.

The school has tried repeatedly to contact the students, Conover said, including sending e-mails. When that failed, the school notified Homeland Security officials and registered the Egyptians as “no-shows” in the system developed after Sept. 11 to track foreign students, Conover said.

They were participating in an exchange program Montana State arranged with Mansoura University in Mansoura, Egypt.

Fabulous, I hope they stay in Montana because they will stick out like a sore thumb and most of us are armed.

I think we really have to re-think accepting foreign students or immigrants from the Middle East, it just isn’t worth the risk.
