From Fox News:
The creator of a now-defunct “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day” page on Facebook fears she may be targeted for death now that the cartoonist who launched the online campaign has been placed on an execution list by a radical Yemeni-American cleric.
The 27-year-old Facebook page creator — a Canadian woman who asked not to be identified due to fears of reprisal — told FoxNews.com that she was visited at her home last week by Royal Canadian Mounted Police officials who advised her to remove her page and not to talk to reporters. This was reported on July 12th and by July 16th a new terrorist was added to a terror watch list. Now, if that helps this woman or not, I have no idea because the world is so lax when it comes to war on terror.
“I’m scared,” she said. “I’m scared that somebody might kill me.”
The woman created her version of “Everybody Draw Muhammad” in late April, days after a Seattle cartoonist launched the online campaign to protest Comedy Central’s censoring of an episode of “South Park,” in which the Prophet Muhammad was depicted wearing a bear costume. The Canadian woman said she will no longer act as the administrator of such a page.
“I just want to be quiet now,” she continued. “I wish I didn’t do this.”As part of “Inspire,” a 67-page English-language Al Qaeda magazine, Yemeni-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki — who has been linked to the botched Times Square bombing and cited as inspiration for the Fort Hood massacre and the plot of two New Jersey men to kill U.S. soldiers — targeted the Seattle cartoonist for “assassination,” along with others who have participated in her campaign.
Then this happened.
From The AP:
WASHINGTON — The United Nations has added U.S.-born radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki to its terrorist list, requiring member countries to freeze his assets and ban his travel.
The action follows a similar move by the U.S. Treasury Department last week, and underscores the growing threat officials believe al-Awlaki represents as a terror recruiter and planner.
Based in Yemen, al-Awlaki has taken on a greater role with al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, leading to his placement earlier this year on a secret U.S. government list of terror targets to be captured or killed, according to U.S. officials.

“The Hurt Locker” won the Academy Award for best picture on Sunday, capping a historic Oscar ceremony that saw the low-budget Iraq war drama vanquish the sci-fi blockbuster “Avatar.”
I for one could care less about the Oscars. They are run by socialists, attended by socialists, and won by socialists. But it is part of our culture and not going away anytime soon. It is interesting to note that most Americans did not see these films. At least that is what the polls on conservative talk radio reflected. Oh, except “Up”. I will never watch “Avatar”. The only blue people I will let into my home are “Smurffs”.

China is an ancient culture. It is patient. And it is corrupt. Not all of the people of China, but most of them, and most certainly the government. It does not play by the rules of the rest of the world, and since it is one of the oldest civilizations on this planet, it “knows” it does not have to.
From Fox News;
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — China should be stripped of its bronze medal from the 2000 Olympics because one member of the squad has been found to be underage, international gymnastics officials said Friday.
Dong Fangxiao was 14 during the Sydney Games, according to FIG, the international gymnastics federation. Gymnasts must be 16 during the Olympic year to compete.
Another gymnast on the 2000 squad, Yang Yun, also was suspected of being underage after she mentioned on a television interview that she was 14 in Sydney. But all of her official documentation indicated she was 16 in Sydney.
The FIG has “canceled” all of Dong’s results from Sydney, and forwarded the results of its investigation to the International Olympic Committee. Because the case involves the Olympics, it is up to the IOC to decide if China should lose any medals.
Just like the UN, it takes years to get anything accomplished. It is 2010, people, this investigation just started this year!!! We are talking ten years before anything has just “started to Happen”. Is this the type of government agency you all want “running the world”? I need to keep more food up here on the mountain. God Help Us.

Did they bring up that the “vast trade relationship between Mexico and the United States”, is human trade and it is a deficit on the US side, and a plus on the Mexican side? did they discuss ways of keeping Mexico’s people in Mexico?
GUADALAJARA, Mexico — President Barack Obama pressed for a new tone in the United States’ relationship with Mexico but found no immediate progress Sunday on the divisions between him and Mexican President Felipe Calderon over the pace of U.S. drug-fighting aid and a ban on Mexican trucks north of the border.
Obama kicked off his second trip to Mexico as president with a friendly 45-minute meeting with Calderon that touched on the vast trade relationship between their two countries, their cooperation on swine flu and the violent Mexican gangs dominating the drug trade on both sides of the border. Their talks came before the start of a lightning-quick three-way summit between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Often called the “Three Amigos” summit, the meeting of Obama, Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper began over dinner at a cultural institution in this town near the mountains. The summit’s formal talks, the fifth for the three countries, were taking place Monday, followed by a joint appearance before reporters at midday.

What? No bail out for amusement parks? Oh that’s right our elected cockroaches are in the process of raising taxes on all of the “things” we common people do for enjoyment, like drink sweet drinks, drink alcohol and eat fatty foods. How dare we ask them to help amusement parks?
From San Francisco Business Times:
Debt-ridden amusement park operator Six Flags has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.
The New York-based chain of parks, which runs Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, has been trying to renegotiate terms with lenders on hundreds of millions of dollars in debt.
Six Flags parks, including Discovery Kingdom., will continue to operate as usual under reorganization.
I guess they are not “too Big to fail”, Huh? But notice that they say they are “reorganizing”. I wonder if we let all the rest of these companies “reorganize”, what would happen? Any thoughts?

From USA Today:
BURLINGTON, Vt. — Americans returning from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and parts of the Caribbean will need more than a driver’s license to get back into the USA beginning Monday — and efforts are underway to prevent that from turning into a truck backlog at the borders.
Commercial truckers in this border state, home of one of the nation’s busiest border crossings, are among those who will be affected by the more stringent documentation requirements, the latest in a series of anti-terrorism efforts put in place after the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. Their imposition fulfills one of the key recommendations of the 9/11 Commission, a blue-ribbon panel of experts convened after the attacks.
Jam that border, turn the illegals back, where’s the fence? No one in this Great land that we call The United States of America has been asked to sacrifice anything for the cause of freedom. Exception: our armed servicemen and women and their families.
My President Bush; which I voted for two times, told the citizens after 911 to “go out and spend money”, so the economy would not collapse. How is that working out for us? HuH???
Suck it up people. When Brian and I went to Alaska, we were totally prepared to wait. As a matter of fact, we were told to pull over to be inspected because we admitted to having firearms in our LandRover. They looked under our seats, glanced at our passports and sent us on our merry way. WE COULD HAVE HAD BOMBS IN OUR EQUIPMENT WHICH WAS PILED ON TOP OF OUR LOCK BOXES BEHIND OUR SEATS!!! OR EVEN IN OUR LOCK BOXES!!
But no one would ever have know, because they didn’t LOOOOOK.
We will be hit again. Where are your Victory Gardens, where is your stock pile of food? Buy some ammo instead of that big screen TV. Sacrifice something for freedom without being asked, I know you can do it, your an American.

Susan here again. After you read this, ask yourself; Where’s The Fence???
From the Washington Times:
The U.S. military is in a better position to provide Mexico’s military with training, resources and intelligence as its southern neighbor battles deadly drug cartels, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said.
More than a thousand people have been killed in Mexico in drug-related violence this year. In 2008 the toll doubled from the previous year to 6,290. Both the United States and Canada have warned that murders related to drug activity in certain parts of Mexico, particularly along the border with the United States, raised the level of risk in visiting the country.
“I think we are beginning to be in a position to help the Mexicans more than we have in the past. Some of the old biases against cooperation with our — between our militaries and so on, I think, are being set aside,” Mr. Gates said in an interview aired Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
