US to send additional $150 million to Palestine

This is extremely disturbing and needs to be spread all over the net.

Washington – US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the press on Wednesday that the US would be sending an additional $150 million in direct aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Yea, I know where I found this story, but sometimes it is better to get it from the “horses mouth”!

Iran Awaits Ayatollah’s Nod to Build Atomic Bomb

Now, while the Lame Stream Media and the rest of the world “speculates”, I will let my learned readers “decide”. After, I have asked the following questions: How do we know they do not already have such a weapon? Just because the media and the powers that be around the world say so? And, what great plan does the “world” have for stopping them if they do?

From the Times of London:

Iran has perfected the technology to create and detonate a nuclear warhead and is merely awaiting the word from its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to produce its first bomb, Western intelligence sources have told The Times of London.

The sources said that Iran completed a research programme to create weaponised uranium in the summer of 2003 and that it could feasibly make a bomb within a year of an order from its Supreme Leader.

A U.S. National Intelligence Estimate two years ago concluded that Iran had ended its nuclear arms research programme in 2003 because of the threat from the American invasion of Iraq. But intelligence sources have told The Times that Tehran had halted the research because it had achieved its aim — to find a way of detonating a warhead that could be launched on its long-range Shehab-3 missiles.

Report: Israel Plans to Deport Cynthia McKinney After Seizing Her Gaza-Bound Boat

Cynthia McKinney the craziest United States House of Representative and ex-presidential candidate in the history of the world. But, she is the gift that keeps on giving to this humble blog.

From Fox News:

Israel plans to deport former U.S. lawmaker and Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney and 20 other human rights activists who were aboard a relief boat seized by an Israeli naval ship Tuesday after it refused to stay away from an Israeli blockade of Gaza.

Authorities took the activists to Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv where they await deportation, according to a news report in Israel.

McKinney, a longtime advocate for Palestinians, said her Greek-flagged boat, the Spirit of Humanity, was carrying medical supplies, cement, olive trees and children’s toys to Gaza when it was intercepted by the Israeli navy.

The Free Gaza Movement organized the trip for the activists who hail from different countries, including Ireland, Britain and Bahrain.

U.S. not waiting for Palestinian unity

From The Washington Times:

The United States will not wait for Palestinians to agree on a unity government or to hold elections in order to push for a renewed peace effort with Israel and will step up its support for President Mahmoud Abbas, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said yesterday.

She also said that the chief mission of U.S. diplomacy in the Middle East in the next two years will be to strengthen the “alignment” of moderate forces so they can take on extremists who have enjoyed a surge in popularity in recent years.

“I would not overstate the importance of a national unity government to the possibility for progress” in the Palestinian territories, Miss Rice told several newspaper reporters at a year-end roundtable.

“We are pushing forward on helping [Mr. Abbas] with reconstruction and security forces — that’s not dependent on a national unity government being formed,” she said, referring to tens of millions of dollars the Bush administration plans to give the president’s office.

The United States is also working on facilitating a meeting between Mr. Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and a unity government is not a condition for that, either, the secretary said.

Since the militant group Hamas won January’s parliamentary election and formed a government, both the United States and Israel have said that progress on the peace process cannot be achieved because they lack a partner for peace.

But now that the negotiations between Hamas and Mr. Abbas’ Fatah faction have failed and the president’s call for early elections have met resistance from Hamas, the administration is looking for realistic options to deal with the issue, U.S. officials said.

Mr. Olmert paid a surprise visit to Jordan to discuss with King Abdullah II ways to restart peace negotiations with Mr. Abbas.

As Egypt renewed its effort to mediate a solution to the fighting, the king offered to host both Hamas and Fatah leaders in Jordan to reconcile the two political groups.

All this sounds wonderful, the nuts are killing each other, but…

Against the backdrop of violence, Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas tried to remind Palestinians that their struggle should be focused toward Israel rather than at each other.

“In spite of the internal disputes, in spite of the wounds created by these disputes, and in spite of the pain of the recent days, we will remain united against the occupation — and won’t be involved with its internal struggles,” he said.

They have not forgotten their goal of wiping Israel off the map.

Let’s face it the middle east is a serious mess and no, we are not to blame. These people have been killing each other since before the U.S. existed.

Frankly the whole palestine thing is an excuse to attack Israel with impunity. there were no palestinians until Israel was created by the U.N. If I remember correctly they were actually Syrians. I think the whole existence of Palestine was orchestrated by Syria.

I hate to say it, but they will NEVER accept the existence of Israel in the Middle East.

Annan: Syria Promises to Enforce Arms Embargo on Hezbollah

From FNC:

U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Friday that Syria would step up border patrols and work with the Lebanese army to stop the flow of weapons to Hezbollah.

Syria will increase its own patrols along the Lebanon-Syria border, and establish joint patrols with the Lebanese army “when possible,” Annan said after meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus.

Assad made no public comments after their meeting, but Annan spoke with reporters at the Damascus airport before he departed midday for Qatar.

The U.N. resolution that halted fighting between Israel and Hezbollah calls for an arms embargo on the guerrilla group, and for Lebanon to “secure its borders and other entry points.”

Annan said Assad informed him that Syria would “take all necessary measures” to implement paragraph 15 of U.N. resolution 1701, which calls on countries to prevent the sale or supply of weapons to entities in Lebanon without the consent of the Lebanese government or U.N. peacekeepers.

A show of hands, who thinks Syria is being honest? Come on, who believes that Syria will stop Iran, their ally, from re-arming Hezbollah?

Israel Bombs Palestinian Foreign Ministry

Israel is not playing any more folks, I just heard on FNC that Israel leveled the Palestinian Foreign Ministry, that is above the airstrike on Hizbolah in Lebanon, and I hear there was a second airstike in Palestine.

I say good for them, how long can you let people fire missles at you until you say enough! How can you tolerate your enemies crossing your border and kidnapping your military personnel? Things are coming to a head in the Middle East and I hope Israel finishes the job!

Syria, Iran to Blame For Israeli Soldiers’ Kidnapping

FNC Reports here and here Syria and Iran are responsible for the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah terrorists.

Seven Israeli soldiers have also been killed in a cross-border attack that Israel has called an act of war by Lebanon.

Israeli warplanes struck a Palestinian base 10 miles south of Beirut. Israel is using gunboats and ground troops to hunt down two Israeli soldiers taken captive by Hezbollah terrorists.

Of course, Hezbollah said the attack would not win the freedom of two captured Israeli soldiers, Because they want a prisoner swap.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert called the Hezbollah raid “an act of war” and held the Lebanese government responsible, vowing that the Israeli response “will be restrained, but very, very, very painful.”

Olmert’s Cabinet prepared to approve more military action in Lebanon, and the Israeli military planned to call up thousands of reservists. Resident of Israeli towns on border with Lebanon were ordered to seek cover in underground bomb shelters.

Israeli jets struck deep into southern Lebanon, blasting bridges and Hezbollah positions and killing two civilians, Lebanese security officials said.

Things are getting a bit sporty folks. This could get real ugly real fast, people are talking about acts of War so we can expect escalation.

Euphoric Reality is blogging on this two front war in real time.
