White House Blasts ‘Disgusting’ Crowds Embracing Lockerbie Bomber in Libya

This is exactly what the families of his victim’s said would happen if he was released. Now every “nut job”, Muslim terrorist will feel empowered.

The White House blasted the jubilant, flag-waving Libyan crowds that greeted Pan Am bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who was convicted in the 1988 killing of 270 people but is being embraced in Libya as a returning hero.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said the elaborate homecoming in Tripoli for al-Megrahi was “outrageous and disgusting” — offensive to all the families of those killed in the 1988 Lockerbie attack.

As al-Megrahi woke up a free man Friday morning, Scots expressed their “shame” at their government’s early release of the Libyan national, who was set free on compassionate grounds and flown back to die of cancer at home rather than behind bars.

This is a prime example why “Club Gitmo” must remain open and under United States control. You can take my tax money and pay for that, President Oboma. The rest of the world cannot be trusted to harbor these monsters. Only we can. We do not torture them, and we do not set them free so that they can kill more innocent men, women, and children.

Iran Awaits Ayatollah’s Nod to Build Atomic Bomb

Now, while the Lame Stream Media and the rest of the world “speculates”, I will let my learned readers “decide”. After, I have asked the following questions: How do we know they do not already have such a weapon? Just because the media and the powers that be around the world say so? And, what great plan does the “world” have for stopping them if they do?

From the Times of London:

Iran has perfected the technology to create and detonate a nuclear warhead and is merely awaiting the word from its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to produce its first bomb, Western intelligence sources have told The Times of London.

The sources said that Iran completed a research programme to create weaponised uranium in the summer of 2003 and that it could feasibly make a bomb within a year of an order from its Supreme Leader.

A U.S. National Intelligence Estimate two years ago concluded that Iran had ended its nuclear arms research programme in 2003 because of the threat from the American invasion of Iraq. But intelligence sources have told The Times that Tehran had halted the research because it had achieved its aim — to find a way of detonating a warhead that could be launched on its long-range Shehab-3 missiles.

Saudi’s Developing Nuclear Weapons

This is being completely overlooked…

From Koinonia House Online:

Amid the growing controversy over Iran’s nuclear program, new information has emerged to suggest that Iran’s bitter rival, Saudi Arabia, has also been developing nuclear weapons.Saudi Arabia is believed to be building its clandestine nuclear program with the help of nuclear scientists from Pakistan. Earlier this week an Arabic news website published claims that Saudi Arabia has secretly constructed nuclear laboratories beneath several newly-built prisons. According to the magazine Israel Today, the website also “cited intelligence reports that indicated the Saudis are constructing a massive underground nuclear center and missile base south of the capital of Riyadh.”

It has long been speculated that Saudi Arabia is developing a nuclear weapons program. In fact, evidence suggests that Saudi Arabia’s quest for the bomb began as early as 1975. It has stayed under the radar primarily because of a scarcity of hard evidence, but also in large part because the United States’ willingness to turn a blind eye to the problem. Saudi Arabia is an important strategic ally that the US cannot afford to alienate.

Perhaps some of the most compelling evidence for Saudi Arabia’s nuclear activities was provided by a man named Muhammad Khilevi, a former UN official who defected from Saudi Arabia in 1994. After defecting he turned over more than 10,000 documents to the IAEA that were obtained from the Saudi Arabian Embassy. The documents show that between 1985 and 1990, the Saudi government paid up to 5 billion dollars to Saddam Hussein to build a nuclear weapon.

In the late 1980’s Saudi Arabia purchased a stockpile of ballistic missiles with a 3,500 km range, capable of carrying nuclear, chemical and biological warheads. The Chinese CSS-2 missiles were deployed at the El-Solayil and Al-Jofar military bases. According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, “missiles of such range are difficult to justify unless they carry nuclear weapons. They are too elaborate and expensive to make sense for anything else.” While these missiles are now largely considered obsolete, they are still considered convincing evidence of Saudi Arabia’s nuclear ambitions.

Experts believe that Saudi Arabia has also helped to fund Pakistan’s nuclear program. The Saudis are believed to have exchanged both cash payments and free oil for nuclear technology. In fact, Saudi Arabia has provided Pakistan with an estimated 1.2 billion dollars worth of oil a year for the past ten years, virtually free of cost. In May 1999, the Saudi Defense Minister visited Pakistan’s highly restricted uranium enrichment and missile assembly factory where he was reportedly briefed by A.Q. Khan – the father of Pakistan’s nuclear program. High-level defense officials from the two countries have met repeatedly in recent years, fueling speculation about Saudi Arabia’s nuclear activities.[snip]

Before September 11, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan were the only countries that recognized and aided Afghanistan’s Taliban regime. In fact, Saudi Arabia still helps to fund some 15,000 religious schools in Pakistan. Students memorize the Koran and are indoctrinated with anti-American, anti-Israeli and anti-Indian propaganda. They are also encouraged to engage in jihad to defeat a “global conspiracy to destroy Islam”. These schools supplied thousands of recruits for the Taliban militia in Afghanistan and are still being used to recruit militants to fight the US-led forces in the Middle East.

You should go read the whole article.

I know they are supposed to be our ally, but they teach radical Islam, their people are starting to demand they break ties with us, they have a secret nuclear program and we are going to give them weapons technology? Possible Saudi Arms Sale Stirs Controversy – ABC News. this is worse than the cold war. atleast during the cold war we had two clear enemies, China and Russia. Now we have posibble enemies everywhere! N. Korea, China, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, terrorists, and many other possibilities in the Middle east and Africa.

Hamas, Fatah make peace; maybe

From The Washington Times:

MECCA, Saudi Arabia — Rival Palestinian factions signed a power-sharing accord aimed at ending months of bloodshed yesterday, agreeing that the Islamist militant group Hamas would head a new coalition government that would “respect” past peace agreements with Israel.
However, the United States and Israel have demanded the new government explicitly renounce violence, recognize Israel and agree to uphold past peace accords. The vague promise to respect past deals — a compromise reached after Hamas rejected pressure for more binding language — did not appear to go far enough.
U.S. and Israeli acceptance is crucial to the deal’s success. Unless they are convinced Hamas has sufficiently moderated, the West is unlikely to lift a crippling financial blockade of the Palestinian government, and it will be difficult to advance the peace process.
“Israel expects a new Palestinian government to respect and accept all three of the international community principles — recognition of Israel, acceptance of all former agreements and renunciation of all terror and violence,” Israeli government spokeswoman Miri Eisin said after the accord was announced.
She would not say whether Israel thinks the guidelines of the new government fulfill those demands.
In Washington, State Department deputy spokesman Tom Casey said “we’ll see what any final agreement actually looks like and we’ll have to make an evaluation from there” as to whether it meets international demands.
Palestinians hope the agreement will avert an outright civil war. Hamas and Fatah gunmen have clashed repeatedly in recent months, killing dozens — including 30 who died in four days of fighting that ended with a fragile truce Sunday. The deal could fall apart as the two sides work out who will fill sensitive posts in the new government — particularly the interior ministry, which controls security forces.
Saudi Arabia — which put its credibility on the line by hosting the high-profile summit in the holy city of Mecca — will likely now face the task of selling the agreement to its ally, the United States.

Yeah, we’ll see just how well this works out and for how long. They still refuse to accept the existence of Israel, so I don’t see the progress here.

Will Saudis Ban the Letter ‘X’?

This is how ridiculous these Islamic Clerics are…

From The NY Sun:

The letter “X” soon may be banned in Saudi Arabia because it resembles the mother of all banned religious symbols in the oil kingdom: the cross.

The new development came with the issuing of another mind-bending fatwa, or religious edict, by the infamous Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice — the group of senior Islamic clergy that reigns supreme on all legal, civil, and governance matters in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The commission’s damning of the letter “X” came in response to a Ministry of Trade query about whether it should grant trademark protection to a Saudi businessman for a new service carrying the English name “Explorer.”

“No! Nein! Nyet!” was the commission’s categorical answer.

Well, never mind that none of the so-called scholars manning the upper ranks of the religious outfit can speak or read a word of English. But their experts who examined the English word “explorer” were struck by how suspicious that “X” appeared. In a kingdom where Friday preachers routinely refer to Christians as pigs and infidel crusaders, even a twisted cross ranks as an abomination.

So after waiting a year, the Saudi businessman, Amru Mohammad Faisal, got his answer: No. But, like so many other Saudi businessmen who suffer from the travesties of the commission, he seemed more baffled than angry. He wrote letters to Saudi newspapers to criticize the cockamamie logic. An article he wrote appeared with his photograph on some Arabian Web sites. It sarcastically invited the commission to expand its edict to the “plus” sign in mathematics and accounting, in order “to prevent filthy Christian conspiracies from infiltrating our thoughts, our beliefs, and our feelings.”

Saudi Arabia is supposed to our our friends, I think not. I am all with the eco-nuts on trying to get us off of our addiction to FOREIGN oil, but I wish to speed this up by drilling everywhere there is oil here in America.

Stories like this really make me appreciate being a U.S. citizen. Hear that Atheists? Islamic nut jobs want to ban crosses too. Aren’t you glad to be in such good company?

Saudis fails to Live Up to Vow to End Israel Boycott

According to this article, and it is well researched, Saudi Arabia is still boycotting products from Israel, despite agreeing to lift the boycott as a condition of membership in the World Trade Organization. The WTO prohibits members from engaging in discriminatory trade practices, such as embargoes or boycotts.

There it is again, a Muslim Arab country lying to the world. They just have no problem with lying to acheive their goals. They obviously have no concept of honor. So now I ask, what will the WTO and the Bush administration do about it?

Saudi Schools Still Teach Hatred for West, including U.S. Schools

The ways in which our government is failing us just doesn’t stop.

From CNS News:

The Saudi government has not only broken its promise and failed to eliminate anti-western rhetoric from its public school textbooks, some Saudi-funded schools on U.S. soil continue to incite violence, a Persian Gulf watchdog group alleged Wednesday.

One of those schools — The Islamic Saudi Academy — is located in Alexandria, Va., a short drive from the nation’s capital, according to the Institute for Gulf Affairs in a report that it released in conjunction with the human rights group, Freedom House.

“They are telling Saudi students and American students of the Academy that you must hate Christians and Jews and consider them enemies until the Day of Judgment and at the end of time,” said Ali Al-Ahmed, director of the Institute for Gulf Affairs. “This is very dangerous because this is how you get a terrorist at the end of the day.”

In November, Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, a valedictorian at the Islamic Saudi Academy and member of al Qaeda, was found guilty of plotting to kill President George W. Bush, Al-Ahmed said.

Ali was raised in Falls Church, Va., but was arrested in Saudi Arabia in 2003 while attending college in Medina. He was transported back to the U.S., last year, convicted in U.S. District Court in Alexandria in November and sentenced in March to 30 years in prison.

I have reported on this problem before as you can see below, when will our government get serious about this problem? We cannot have mosques and schools in this country teaching radical Islam to our children. We cannot have Muslim Clerics in prison teaching it either!

Between this and Illegal immigration the government is selling our future down the river.

Saudi Arabia is lying to us, as it is taught in their teachings:

In March of this year, the Saudi government stated that it had removed all of the content from its public school textbooks that disparaged other religions. But on Monday, the Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C., backed away from that statement while responding to the Institute for Gulf Affairs and Freedom House study. The embassy explained that the changes required more time.

“Overhauling an educational system is a massive undertaking. There are hundreds of books that are being revised to comply with the new requirements, and the process remains ongoing,” said Saudi Ambassador Prince Turki Al-Faisal.

He added that “the Saudi government has worked diligently during the last five years to overhaul its education system, which includes textbooks, teacher training, and the introduction of new teaching methods.”

“The objective of the educational system,” the prince added, “is to fight intolerance and to prepare Saudi youth with the skills and knowledge to compete in the global economy.”

According to the Institute for Gulf Affairs and Freedom House report, current Saudi textbooks obtained by the Institute indicate that intolerance is still being taught.

“These books continue to reflect a curriculum that inculcates religious hatred toward those who do not follow Wahhabi teachings,” the report stated. Wahhabism is a fundamentalist sect of Sunni Islam dominant in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

“When the current school year ends, thousands more will graduate from Saudi public schools steeped in the belief that those of differing religious faiths are morally inferior and even evil,” the report alleged. “Their texts will have taught them that peaceful coexistence with so-called ‘infidels’ is unattainable and that violence to spread Islam is not only permissible, but an obligation.”

“There is a lot of misinformation and disinformation about others in these textbooks. These textbooks groom a child to be a terrorist,” Al-Ahmed added.

The future does not look bright, unless it is from a Nuclear explosion!

US hospitals lose Saudi patients and income

Is this a bad thing?

From The Boston Chronicle:

Saudi Arabia has shut down a decade-old program that brought patients to the United States for medical treatment and paid for their care, a move that could translate into millions in lost annual income for Boston-area hospitals.

Saudi diplomats say the growing US delays in granting visas to Saudi citizens, because of stricter rules imposed on visitors from the Middle East after the Sept. 11 attacks, were a major factor in the decision to halt the program in recent weeks. It was funded by a Saudi prince’s charity.

Two similar programs associated with the Saudi armed forces and the Ministry of Health will be sharply scaled back but will continue to bring some patients to US hospitals, the diplomats said. The patients travel to US facilities for specialized treatment of such serious ailments as cancer and heart conditions.

The number of Saudis entering the United States for any reason is down sharply since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, partly because of the hurdles involved in getting visas but also because many fear being falsely accused of links to terrorism. Since the attacks, US investigators have scrutinized the finances of Saudis as part of international efforts to stem the flow of money bankrolling terrorists.

The number of ”B” visas — those issued for medical reasons, business, or tourism — to Saudis plummeted from 56,912 in 2001 to 14,403 in 2002, according to the State Department. Last year, it rose to 22,621, after President Bush met with Crown Prince Abdullah — who is now king — at Bush’s ranch in Texas and promised to ease the visa restrictions.

In 2001, 459 patients from Saudi Arabia — out of about 4,000 international patients — were treated at Boston-area hospitals owned by Partners HealthCare, including Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General, according to David Jones, executive director of the international program for Partners. Last year, just 163 Saudis — out of an estimated 3,500 international patients — were treated at those facilities.

The numbers for both years include patients whose care was paid for by the prince’s charity and those run by the government or associated charities, as well as those who covered their own care.

Jones said that instead of coming to the United States for treatment, many Saudis are traveling to Germany, Britain, and India for care.

We have to make sure people coming here, especially from the Middle East, are not terrorists. I know they are really sick, but who better to use as a suicide bomber? It is not like we are turning them away, we are just checking them out. I would rather lose the business than have a terror attack on our soil again.

Saudi Oil Site Reportedly Attacked

This is an interesting development…

From the AP:

A Saudi oil official said an explosion rocked a major oil processing facility Friday in eastern Saudi Arabia. An Arab satellite television station reported that one pipeline was damaged in an attack by suicide bombers in two explosives-packed cars.

One vehicle detonated when guards opened fire as it attempted to drive through the facility’s gates, according to the Saudi-owned channel Al-Arabiya, which did not give a source for the report.

A second vehicle was stopped and two people inside it were killed, Al-Arabiya said. None of the guards were hurt, it said.

The attackers’ cars bore the logo of Aramco, the state oil company that owns the facility, Al-Arabiya said.

Al-Arabiya said that oil briefly stopped flowing through the facility after the attack but has resumed.

It was the first attack on an oil facility in the kingdom in recent memory, although oil company offices previously have been attacked.

Crude-oil futures soared nearly $2 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, to $62.51 a barrel.

I wonder if the King might change his attitude towards schools teaching Wahabbi after he gets a taste of terror? I am sure it will take more than one attack, but it is interesting.
